For Executives
A Network for Executives Choosing What Comes Next
VEXECS is an executive advisory firm and the network of senior leaders behind it. It exists for executives who want their experience applied to real problems — through fractional, interim, advisory, project and board work — without committing to a single full-time seat.
Joining takes a couple of minutes and costs nothing. What follows is a relationship, not a pipeline.
Fit
Who the Network Is For
- You have held genuine C-suite or equivalent executive responsibility.
- You are building a portfolio career rather than looking for a single full-time role.
- You are between permanent roles and open to interim or project leadership.
- You already advise companies and want a more considered flow of conversations.
- You are moving toward board and investor work and want the right introductions.
- You are still in a permanent role, but want to be known before you need to be.
- You want to stay connected to other executives without being marketed to.
Being straight about it
What VEXECS Is Not
- VEXECS is not designed as a pathway for professionals seeking their first C-level title.
- It is not a job board, and there is no application process to work through.
- We do not circulate your details to organizations without speaking to you first.
- There will always be more executives in the network than active engagements.
We would rather set that expectation at the start than have you discover it six months in.
How it works
From Registration to Engagement
You register your interests
A short profile: your background, the kinds of engagement that interest you, and roughly when you might be available. It takes a few minutes, not an afternoon.
We understand your background properly
For some members this is a conversation early on. For others it happens when something specific arises. Either way, we want to know what you are genuinely good at, not just what you have been titled.
A relevant challenge appears
An organization describes a problem. We think about who has actually solved something like it before, at that scale, in that environment.
We approach you directly and discreetly
Never a mass mailing. You hear about a specific situation, with enough context to decide whether it interests you, and you are free to say no.
The engagement is structured around both sides
Commitment, duration and commercial terms are agreed openly. You can contract through VEXECS or directly with the organization, depending on what suits you both.
Membership
What Membership Actually Means
There is no fee
Membership of the VEXECS network costs nothing. We are paid through engagements, not by executives.
Your details stay private
Nothing is publicly displayed, no profile is published, and the network is not sold or licensed as a list.
You control your availability
Update it whenever it changes, pause contact entirely, or ask to be removed. All of it takes one email.
Contact has a reason behind it
We approach members when there is something specific worth discussing — an engagement, a conversation, a roundtable or an event.
You are treated as an executive
No screening calls, no scoring, no talent pipeline language. Conversations happen peer to peer.
Confidentiality is assumed
Many members are still in permanent roles. Discretion is the default, not something you have to request.

Join the Executive Network
One short form, and only the details we need to understand where your experience fits. Everything else is a conversation.
- Not publicly displayed
- Your details are held privately by VEXECS and are never published or sold as a list.
- A CV is optional
- Attach one if it saves you writing, or leave it and tell us the rest when we speak.

Questions
Frequently Asked by Executives
Executives who have genuinely held a C-suite position or equivalent top executive responsibility. The network is built around people who have carried the accountability, not people who have worked adjacent to it.
No. The network includes executives building portfolio careers by choice, executives between permanent positions, executives who want greater flexibility, semi-retired executives who remain commercially active, and executives currently in permanent roles who are permitted to take appropriate advisory or board work.
Yes, provided your employer’s policies allow outside advisory or board activity. Many executives hold a permanent role alongside a board seat or an advisory position. You are responsible for your own obligations; we will discuss conflicts openly before any introduction.
Yes. There is no fee to join the network and no fee for being part of it. We are compensated by the organizations we work with.
No, and we would rather be direct about that. There will be more executives in the network than there are active engagements at any moment. Joining means we know who you are, what interests you and when you might be available — so we can approach you when something genuinely fits.
No. The network is not a public directory. Your details are not searchable, not displayed in a marketplace and not sold as a list. Information is used to identify relevant opportunities and invitations, and confidential details are not shared with a company without an appropriate conversation with you first.
Fractional leadership, interim roles, advisory retainers, board advisory and independent directorships, project and transformation leadership, due diligence, investor and portfolio support, product advisory, executive mentoring, and selected speaking or roundtable invitations.
Yes, and it helps. You can indicate hourly, daily, monthly retainer, fractional annual equivalent or project fee ranges — whichever you actually think in. You can also simply say that you are open to discussion.
Infrequently, and with intent. We contact you when a relevant opportunity, conversation or invitation arises, not on a marketing schedule. The community is deliberately light-touch.
Yes. Most executives working in this way do, and it is one of the reasons the model works for both sides. Overlapping commitments need to be disclosed so that conflicts can be assessed properly.
We ask about existing commitments, competitive exposure and employer policies before making an introduction. Where there is overlap, we discuss it with you first. We will not put you in a position that jeopardizes an existing relationship or obligation.
Sometimes. For recurring fractional, interim and project engagements it is often simpler for VEXECS to hold the contracts and manage invoicing. For selected advisory and board work, contracting directly with the organization is usually cleaner. We agree the structure with you before anything is signed.
Yes. Many members join while fully committed elsewhere. Tell us that, and we will stay in touch on the basis you prefer. Availability changes; relationships take longer to build than opportunities take to appear.
No. VEXECS is intended for people who have already held genuine C-suite or equivalent executive responsibility. It is not designed as a pathway to a first executive title.
